On May 21, Francesco Tristano unveils the third advance release from his forthcoming album Bach: The 6 French Suites, to be released on June 19 on naïve. This new preview arrives as a double single featuring French Suite in C minor, BWV 813, 1. Allemande and 2. Courante offers another perspective on the structure and atmosphere of the suite.
With their contrast between restraint and movement, the two pieces highlight the balance at the core of Bach’s writing. The Allemande unfolds with clarity and introspection, while the Courante introduces a more fluid and animated momentum, revealing the subtle dialogue between rhythm, articulation and form that shapes the French Suites throughout the recording.
