Last week, FT presented his new show “Oscillate”, which was streamed by Arte.TV.

My Oscillate programme is a way I imagine a piano recital. Franz Liszt once invented this concert format in the second half of the 19th century. I am rethinking it in my present day. The piano recital should reflect the futuristic component of the instrument and be meaningful, indeed: relevant for the audience!, FT said.

“Having a longstanding collaboration with Brandt Brauer Frick, when Paul sent me the album and requested a piano solo version of any track, I eagerly embraced the chance. The process was completely spontaneous as I was in Paris working on another project in the studio. We tried a few takes but in the end, the best version happened in the moment. The result is a pure live recording, unaltered by edits or re-recordings, encapsulating raw spontaneity”.
